We collect only the information needed to operate the marketplace, deliver software, support customers and keep PluginLabs secure. Optional analytics stays off until you consent.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies when you visit pluginlabs.cloud, create or use a PluginLabs account, buy or download a digital product, contact support, join a mailing list, or otherwise interact with our marketplace and related services.
PluginLabs is the trading name used for this platform and acts as the responsible party for personal information it determines how and why to process. The legal supplier identity and address for service will be displayed before paid checkout is activated and on every tax invoice.
2. Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address, password hash, preferences and verification status.
- Order, licence, download, subscription and support history. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers; payment providers process card details on their secured systems.
- Messages and files you submit through support or contact forms.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, security events, requested pages and session identifiers.
- Cookie choices and, only with permission, aggregated analytics about how the site is used.
3. Why we use information
- To provide accounts, purchases, downloads, licences, updates and customer support.
- To process orders, prevent fraud, keep reliable transaction records and meet tax or accounting obligations.
- To secure, diagnose and improve the platform and its products.
- To send service messages and, where permitted, product news or marketing that you can opt out of.
- To comply with law, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
Our processing is based on performing a contract, complying with legal duties, legitimate operational and security interests, and consent where consent is the appropriate basis.
5. International processing
Some service providers may process information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we use providers and contractual safeguards intended to provide an appropriate level of protection, and we limit transfers to what is necessary.
6. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purpose collected, legal recordkeeping, fraud prevention, dispute resolution and enforcement. Retention periods vary by record type; transaction records may be kept longer than support messages.
We use HTTPS, access controls, password hashing, database permissions, secure session settings, backups and monitoring. No online system can promise absolute security, but we review controls as the platform develops.
7. Your privacy rights
- Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access to it.
- Request correction, completion, deletion or destruction where the law allows.
- Object to certain processing or withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Opt out of direct marketing at any time.
- Complain to the South African Information Regulator if you believe your rights have been infringed.
Send a request to privacy@pluginlabs.cloud. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity before acting on a request.
8. Children
PluginLabs is intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the authorisation required by law.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as products, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@pluginlabs.cloud or through our contact page.
